“The pandemic was unsettling for everyone. It upended plans and schedules, and created much uncertainty and anxiety. In the midst of it all, however, the quarantine gave me an opportunity to create new works, even if only to regain my creative momentum and to drown out a little bit of the fear and panic.”
About the Artist
Martin Honasan is a Philippine artist who works with collage, acrylic and watercolor. He works and lives in the City of Marikina in Metro Manila.
Aside from local institutions Honasan has participated in various group shows and individual exhibitions since 2005 in Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Japan, and local and international art conventions such as Art Fair Philippines, Art in the Park, Bazaar Art Jakarta, and Manila Art. In 2016 he participated in an artist residency program in Osaka, Japan where his completed works were exhibited at the YOD Gallery for his 10th solo show.

All the artworks are untitled, mixed media on paper pieces, and are uniformly sized at 25 5/8” x 19 5/8”.
