Painting with watercolors is something that I really enjoy apart from the layered and torn drawings that I usually show. I really enjoy how the medium flows and spreads. Watercolor works need multiple layers of paint as well and I see this as akin to my usual art process.
For this show, I chose to show 1 piece works because I prefer colored works to presented as is. I also wanted to show how intensive I observe and render each image. It’s a different take because my usual layered works are full drawings but they are eventually torn.

I have been interested with flower arranging because it brings me closer to my dad who passed away a few years ago. He used to loved doing this and I didn’t get it at that time. But now, I understand and it also brings me back to my roots which is living with mature, back in the mountains.
Fastidious Manifestations. Thread, pen and ink on layered and torn tracing and watercolor papers, 2024/ 12 x 12”
I also did my usual works and added gold thread. I was inspired by Kintsugi.
All the works are based on a wish. The king and queen suits are added because for me, they represent power and control over our future goals. This is very evident in the process of doings mall works, because this is where I feel most relaxed and sure.
